<p>The present invention relates to a cooling device for an in-wheel motor of an electric vehicle and, more specifically, to a cooling device for an in-wheel motor of an electric vehicle capable of maximizing a cooling effect of a in-wheel motor where a motor is built in the wheel while reducing the weight of the in-wheel motor. The cooling device for an in-wheel motor of an electric vehicle of the present invention comprises a wheel of an electric vehicle; a motor module arranged inside the wheel and mounted to transmit a rotatory power through a wheel adaptor; and a frame adaptor mounted on a back side of the motor module to be connected to the sub-frame of the vehicle body. An air flow leading groove is formed on an outer surface of a housing arranged on the ultimate outskirt adjacent to a stator coil of the motor module to exchange heat with the stator coil. A rotator arranged in the center of the motor module is equipped with a midair cylinder for a circulation of outside air flown in from the outside. Provided is the cooling device for an in-wheel motor of an electric vehicle consisting of an external air leading hole connected to the midair cylinder for a circulation of outside air to lead the outside air toward the midair cylinder direction for a circulation of outside air.</p> |
