Thermal column generator that -through its big metallic surfaces with changeable characteristics placed against the sunray - is creating easy-to-find thermal columns (upbound warm air columns) for the engine-free flying structures and by this increasing the time spent airborne and the altitude that can be reached. It consists of at least one plain or curved sheet and a holding structure. The area against the sunray and the flowing gaps between the sheets can be adjusted in order to control the generated thermal column. The device also van be equipped with adjustable side wind stopper, or wind wheel and electric generator, or a smoke generator to indicate the column. |
