The present invention relates to a method for forming and managing a learning group using a mobile device which comprises the steps of: generating a face image of at least one target member using a mobile device to form a learning group; identifying and recognizing the target member through a database based on the generated face image of the target member; searching and acquiring personal information of the recognized target member; transmitting a group formation request to a device of the target member in the acquired personal information of the target member; and adding the target member as a member of the learning group according to the target member′s acceptance of the request. The method for forming a learning group according to the present invention is intuitive, can arouse interest, can photograph the face of a desired member anytime and anywhere regardless of the place, and can easily form and manage a learning group by inviting and accepting a target as a member of the learning group through acquisition of information through face recognition.
