Disclosed is a voltage regulator capable of quickly removing change of an output voltage according to change of an input voltage through a negative-feedback path. An amplifier arranged in the negative-feedback path of the voltage regulator has the configuration of a two-stage serially connected common source amplifier and a common gate amplifier. Further, bias voltages applied to transistors configuring an output stage of the amplifier sets the range of an output level of the amplifier. The amplifier has a high voltage gain and a wide high-frequency bandwidth. An output signal from the amplifier is applied to a voltage control unit, and the voltage control unit controls an output current through a common source amplification operation.
