PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording-reproduction device capable of long hours of continuous recording which allows power consumption to be saved according to the viewing history of a user.SOLUTION: An HDD recorder 100 includes a tuner group 11 for receiving a broadcast wave, a demodulation IC 12 for demodulating the broadcast wave to generate a recorded content, and an HDD 14 for recording the recorded content, and is provided with a recording device group 10 having a plurality of device series for performing reception, demodulation, and recordings using one reception channel. The HDD recorder 100 is also provided with a totalization unit 21c for totalizing samples which are history information indicating a recorded channel and a recorded time slot at the time of recording of the recorded content which was reproduced. Furthermore, the HDD recorder 100 is provided with an operation control unit 21d for determining a reception channel per device series on the basis of the result of sample totalization, and controls on/off of a power supply for the recording devices included in each device series. |
