PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat reclining device for a vehicle which exhibits excellent quietness and does not generate a sharp rise in the manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A seat reclining device 1 for a vehicle includes: a rail 9; a slider 11; a striker 13; a latch mechanism 15; and contact members 17. The rail 9 is fixed to a vehicle body 5, and extends linearly along a center axis S1 consistent with a locus C1 of a lock unit 3 drawn when a backrest 7b is reclined. The slider 11 is slidable along the center axis S1 of the rail 9. The striker 13 is provided at the slider 11, and can be made to or not to engage with the lock unit 3. The latch mechanism 15 is provided between the rail 9 and the slider 11, and restricts or permits the slide of the slider 11. The contact members 17 are provided between the rail 9 and the slider 11. The contact members 17 are in contact with the rail 9 and the slider 11 in a lateral direction orthogonal to the center axis S1, while permitting the slide of the slider 11. |
