PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber structure for volatilization of a chemical which is formable in an arbitrary shape, e.g. a thin or bent shape, compared with conventional liquid absorption cores, and excellent in volatilization and can volatilize a solution of a chemical e.g. an aromatic or an insecticide, to the last with good ingredient balance.SOLUTION: A fiber structure for volatilization of a chemical is obtained by mixing an aqueous solution of a thermosetting resin prepolymer with an aqueous solution of a thickener, dissolving a hardener in the resultant mixture and mixing together to obtain a thermosetting resin polymer/thickener solution, mixing the thermosetting resin polymer/thickener solution with silica gel through dispersion to prepare a thermosetting resin-silica gel dispersion, applying the dispersion to twisted yarn and heating at 100-150°C. |
