PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium having proper buoyancy in dirty liquid, and a method of producing such a filter medium.SOLUTION: A filter medium is mainly composed of a foam comprising in a polyolefin resin a plurality of hollow spherical particles formed by heating thermally expandable microcapsules.
