PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of a bell cup type coating machine, capable of cleaning the whole bell cup part by making a thinner abut up to an unabutting part, and hardly reducing the cleaning effect even if a nozzle of a cleaning device is slightly dislocated.SOLUTION: The cleaning method of the bell cup type coating machine comprises a body and a bell cup part. The method cleans the bell cup part by rotating and moving the bell cup part of the bell cup type coating machine while discharging the cleaning thinner toward the bell cup part of the bell cup type coating machine from a cleaning device installed in an external part separately from the body of the bell cup type coating machine. In the cleaning method of the bell cup type coating machine, a moving distance of the bell cup part to the cleaning device is 5-10 mm in the horizontal direction, and is 10-13 mm upward in the vertical direction. |
