PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a display of a transverse line without breaking the stable state of a display panel drive signal.SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus comprises: a buffering unit that performs frame buffering for input video; a frame lock control unit that controls frame lock for synchronizing the frame frequencies of the video input and output; a detection unit that detects the completion of the frame lock; and a switching control unit that performs switching so that video to which the frame buffering has been performed by the buffering unit is output if the completion of the frame lock is not detected, and video to which the frame buffering has not been performed is output if the completion of the frame lock is detected.
