PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of forming a paper bundle in a booklet state, which is gathered from the group of imposition-printed sheets, in a continuous manner and at a high speed.SOLUTION: A sheet cutting and gathering device comprises: a paper feeding part 1 for feeding imposition-printed sheets S; a first cutting part 2 for cutting the sheets into a strip shape; a first turning part 3 for turning a strip-shaped sheet portion Sby 90°; a second cutting part 4 for dividing the strip-shaped sheet portion into a plurality of sub sheets S, each having one page; second turning parts 5 and 5a for receiving the cut strip-shaped sheet portion and turning it by 90°; and a stack part 6 for stacking the sub sheets one by one to form a laminate of a set of the gathered sub sheets of one booklet. At each time of starting the paper feeding operation of the paper feeding part, a control part 7 calculates the number of sub sheets to be formed from the individual strip-shaped sheet portions, on the basis of initial information and sheet information, and compares the calculated value and the number of the sub sheets to be fed to the stack part thereby to detect the gathering error. |
