摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module and a light irradiation device capable of presenting various irradiation configurations to a user.SOLUTION: An optical module 1A includes: a polarizing beam splitter 10A; polarizing elements 20 and 40 each having non-reciprocal optical activity to rotate a polarization plane and respectively disposed on the optical paths of a first polarization component L2 of irradiation light L1 transmitted through an optical branch face 11 and of a second polarization component L4 reflected on the optical branch face 11; a first reflective SLM (space light modulator) 30 that modulates and reflects the first polarization component L2 transmitted through the first polarizing element 20; and a second reflective SLM 50 that modulates and reflects the second polarization component L4 transmitted through the second polarizing element 40. First modulation light L3 that is again transmitted through the first polarizing element 20 and then reflected on the optical branch face 11, and second modulation light L5 that is again transmitted through the second polarizing element 40 and then transmitted through the optical branch surface 11 are multiplexed.
