摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control, even when holding an electric EGR valve at a predetermined opening by energization cut and then reopening the same by the resumption of energization, the EGR valve at a proper opening while coping with deviation of an actual opening caused by thermal contraction.SOLUTION: An EGR device comprises: an EGR passage 17 for letting a part of exhaust gas discharged from a combustion chamber 16 flow into an intake passage 3 as EGR gas to recirculate the same to the combustion chamber 16; and an EGR valve 18 for regulating the EGR gas in the EGR passage 17. The EGR valve 18 includes a valve seat 32, a valve element 33 and a stepping motor 34. An electronic control unit (ECU) 50 calculates a targe opening according to the operation state of an engine 1, and cuts energization to the stepping motor 34 when holding the EGR valve 18 at a predetermined opening during the operation of the EGR valve 18. Then, when controlling the EGR valve 18 to the target opening, the electronic control unit resumes energization to the stepping motor 34, calculates an energization cut correction value according to an elapsed time from the energization cut, and corrects the target opening by the energization cut correction value.
