<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding apparatus for improving accuracy of temporal motion information concerned with prediction encoding between a target view and a reference view in view scalable encoding.SOLUTION: The image decoding apparatus for decoding encoded data composed of two or more viewpoint images and hierarchically encoded includes: a parallax information extraction part for extracting parallax information indicating parallax between the viewpoint images from the encoded data; an inter-layer motion mapping part for generating motion information of a predetermined encoding unit of a reference image of a second viewpoint image from the motion information of a predetermined encoding unit of a first viewpoint image obtained by decoding the encoded data and the parallax information between the first viewpoint image and the second viewpoint image; and motion information derivation part for deriving motion information to be used for generation of a prediction image of the second viewpoint image by referring to the motion information generated in the inter-layer motion mapping part as temporal motion information.</p> |
