PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element improved in service life and luminance by using a host material in which deterioration due to the flow of charge is less likely to occur.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element contains, as a host material of a light-emitting layer containing the host material and a light-emitting dopant, a polymer which has a skeleton represented by formula (1) in a repeating unit, where the number of repetitions is 20 to 10,000 inclusive. (In the formula, X is one element constituting the main chain of the polymer, and R1, R2, R3, and R4 may be the same or different from one another and are each one selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aromatic ring group, an alkoxy group, an alkothio group, and a halogen atom.)
|
