<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing system for reproducing only specific information, by use of a portable recording medium.SOLUTION: A reproducing apparatus includes a reproducing unit for reproducing data for a recording medium inserted therein, a storage unit which stores permission identification information; and a control unit. The control unit detects medium identification information recorded to be non-rewritable during recording medium manufacturing process by a recording system different from that of data mainly recorded on the recording medium, from the inserted recording medium. Only when the detected medium identification information coincides with the permission identification information stored in the storage unit, the reproducing unit is permitted to reproduce data on the recording medium.</p> |
