PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inductively heat a heating plate for cooking in a heating chamber and increase freedom of arrangement of a heating area of the heating plate for cooking and prevent deterioration in cooking performance caused because the heating plate for cooking is not properly arranged in the heating chamber.SOLUTION: In an induction heating cooker, when a door 9 is closed, by locating the center in a front-back direction of a cooking area where a heat generating element 10 is arranged closer to a depth side than the center in the front-back direction of a heating plate 6 for cooking and by locating the center in the front-back direction of a heating coil 3 almost immediately below the center in the front-back direction of a range where the heat generating element 10 is arranged, freedom of arrangement of the cooking area is increased; and by driving the heating coil 3 and detecting an output of the heating coil 3 by a control part to detect whether the heat generating element 10 is mounted on a predetermined position, cooking in a state where cooking performance deteriorates is prevented from being continued in the case where the heating plate 6 for cooking is not properly inserted. |
