PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce blacking and yellowing of clothes by suppressing re-attachment of dirt separated from the clothes.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine includes: a drum 4 provided rotatably in a water tub 3; a motor 9 for rotationally driving the drum 4; water supply means 10 for supplying washing water to the water tub 3; drainage means 15 for draining the washing water in the water tub 3; and control means 22 for sequentially controlling each step of washing, rinsing, dewatering and the like. The control means 22, in the washing step, executes: a first step of removing dirt from clothes by the washing water in which detergent is dissolved, while rotating the drum 4; a second step of supplying fresh water after draining the washing water used in the first step, moving the dirt removed from the clothes in the first step to the supplied fresh water and draining it; and a third step of removing the dirt from the clothes by the washing water in which the detergent is dissolved, while rotating the drum 4. The second step is performed a plurality of times. |
