PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing system used for an order entry system which seldom erroneously recognize between an article produced according to an order and a printed matter corresponding to it.SOLUTION: A printer 2 includes: a communication unit 11 for receiving order information; a storage unit 16 for storing printing information corresponding to the order information; a control unit 12 for generating display data on the basis of the order information received in the communication unit 11 and for transmitting the printing information stored in the storage unit 16; a display unit 14 for displaying the display data; and a printing unit 18 for printing the printing information transmitted from the control unit 12 when input information with respect to the information displayed in the display unit 14 is input.
