<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of congestion control aimed at a contention access network.SOLUTION: The method controls congestion by the steps of: receiving a message or a message fragment at a given time point; evaluating the number of terminals currently transmitting; defining a congestion window having the duration ofΔTf configured to be proportional to the number of terminals N currently transmitting and inversely proportional to the maximum input load G of a network that allows the ratio of retransmission to be practically zero; and about each terminal and each message or each message fragment to be transmitted, bringing the start of the congestion window in line with the given time point to receive the message or the message fragment, and defining an actual time point to transmit the message or the message fragment as a random value obtained within the congestion window.</p> |
