摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray quantity control method and a clearance estimation method in consideration of reduction in clearance caused by spray against an axial flow compressor including AHAT systems as well as an axial flow compressor.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an axial flow compressor in which an actuation medium flow passage is formed between a rotor rotating around a rotating shaft and a casing arranged at an outer circumference of the rotor, there are provided several stages constituted by rotor blades fixed to the rotor and stator blades fixed to the casing and the actuation medium flowing down the flow passage is compressed in a direction in parallel with the rotating shaft. The axial flow compressor comprises: a spray cooling device for spraying droplet to the actuation medium inflow part; and a control device for controlling spray quantity of droplet sprayed by the spray cooling device, the control device comprises a power calculation device for estimating a compressor power, the spray quantity of the spray device is set to be a larger value than 0 from a state in which the compressor power estimated by the power calculation device is lower than a rating value.
