PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper post-processing apparatus capable of increasing the processing speed, and of discharging a paper sheet with the leading edge of the sheet aligned.SOLUTION: The paper post-processing apparatus includes: a processing tray section including a processing tray in which a paper sheet is fed from a buffer section and capable of conveying the sheet fed from the buffer section and loaded on the processing tray toward a discharge direction; a post-processing section for carrying out a post-processing on the sheet loaded on the processing tray; a paper discharge tray section including a paper discharge tray to which a sheet bundle loaded on the processing tray and subjected to the post-processing is discharged; a first chuck section for holding the rear end of the sheet standing by in the buffer section; a second chuck section for holding the rear end of the sheet loaded on the processing tray; and a third chuck section for holding the rear end of the sheet loaded on the paper discharge tray. In the buffer section, a next sheet is fed onto the sheet held by the first chuck section. In the processing tray section, a sheet from the buffer section is fed onto the sheet held by the second chuck section. In the paper discharge tray section, a sheet from the processing tray section is discharged onto the sheet on the paper discharge tray held by the third chuck section.
