<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a portable terminal to be rebooted with a hardware switch and eliminate adverse effect due to reboot at the time of reboot.SOLUTION: One of reset signals by a reset switch 1 is delayed by a delay circuit 2 by a predetermined delay time and supplied to a reset terminal 9 of a CPU 4 via a mask switch 3, and the other is supplied to a general input/output terminal 10 of the CPU 4. When a reset signal detection unit 5 detects the reset signal at the general input/output terminal 10, a processing state monitoring unit 6 monitors a monitoring object. When processing on the monitoring object is completed within the delay time or the processing state monitoring unit 6 is hung up, the delayed reset signal is used for resetting. When the processing is not completed within the delay time, the mask switch 3 disables the reset signal, and reset processing is performed by a function of an OS after the processing is completed. When the processing state monitoring unit 6 is hung up after the reset signal is disabled, a watchdog timer 8 performs the reset processing.</p> |
