PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric in which, even when an exposed part is pulled, adjacent exposed parts are prevented from being drawn near, and the length dimensions of the exposed parts do not become non-uniform, so that the functionality and the design of the woven fabric are not impaired; and to provide a method for manufacturing the woven fabric.SOLUTION: Seven connecting yarns 9 extending in the warp direction are woven into a woven fabric body 2. The connecting yarns 9 are arranged at substantially equal intervals from the side edge of the woven fabric body 2. Each connecting yarn 9 is woven into weft yarns 5 in both woven fabrics 7 and 8 of the woven fabric body 2, thereby connecting the woven fabrics 7 and 8 facing each other. The connecting yarns 9 partition off the woven fabric body 2, forming eight cylindrical parts 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e, 11f, 11g and 11h. A fusible yarn 21 as an adhesive is inserted through the cylindrical part 11a, and a part 17 through which a string 15 is inserted is fixed to the cylindrical part 11a by the fusible yarn 21 melted by heating. |
