PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer recovery device and an image forming apparatus, configured to control the amount of developer in a developing unit more properly.SOLUTION: A developer recovery device includes: a recovery box which houses developer discharged from a developing unit housing the developer containing toner and carrier and developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a development body with toner; a guide cylinder which connects the developing unit with the recovery box to guide the developer discharged from the developing unit to the recovery box; a conveyance member which is arranged in the guide cylinder, extends in a developer conveyance direction, and rotates to convey the developer toward the recovery box; and a rotation control unit which controls rotation speed of the conveyance member, according to a condition which has influence on the performance of the developing unit developing the electrostatic latent image on the development body. |
