PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a gas hydrate particle containing heavy water; and a method for suppressing decomposition of hydrate and a method for storing/transporting gas hydrate, each of which uses the characteristic of the gas hydrate particle containing heavy water.SOLUTION: A gas hydrate particle is obtained by using heavy water as raw material water when generating gas hydrate, or by coating the surface of a gas hydrate particle with ice composed of heavy water. A method for storing gas hydrate uses the gas hydrate particle.
