PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate binder for a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode, including a vinylidene fluoride monomer unit with which a lithium ion secondary battery excellent in rate characteristics and cycle characteristics can be obtained.SOLUTION: A particulate binder for a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode includes: a particulate binder A in which the content of a vinylidene fluoride monomer unit is 70-100 wt.%; a particulate binder B in which the content of a butadiene monomer unit is 20-50 wt.% and the content of a styrene monomer unit is 50-80 wt.%; and a particulate binder C in which the content of an alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer unit is 70-100 wt.%, the alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer unit having a 4-10C alkyl group bonded to a non-carbonyl oxygen atom.
