PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous operation of an electronic device by detecting invalid setting information generated in a setting device.SOLUTION: An electronic device that operates in accordance with setting information generated by a setting device comprises: acquisition means that acquires setting information; storage means that stores a function definition to be defined in setting information of the electronic device; verification means that verifies whether the function definition is defined in the setting information before starting operation; and operation control means that stops start of operation when the function definition is not defined in the setting information.
