PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the visibility of a pedestrian or the like at a road side without imparting a glare to drivers of an on-coming vehicle and a preceding vehicle, in a projector-type vehicle lighting appliance.SOLUTION: A vehicle lighting appliance comprises a mirror member 20 which has an upward reflection face 20a for upwardly reflecting a part of reflection light from a reflector 16, and is arranged so that its front end edge 22 passes a rear-side focus point F of a projection lens 12. At this time, as the front end edge 22 of the upward reflection face 20a, a center 22c is formed so as to extend along a meridional image face M of the projection lens 12, and both a left end 22L and a right end 22R are formed so as to be displaced to front sides from the meridional image face M. By this constitution, light is radiated even to a space in the vicinity of an upper part by blurring the left end and the right end after clearly forming a center of a cut-off line of a low-beam light distribution pattern. |
