PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dross removal apparatus which is a simple and low-cost installation and has an excellent dross removal capacity without occurrence of problems, e.g. scratching flaw formation or rupture.SOLUTION: A dross removal apparatus for dross in the snout includes at least one dross transfer unit which has a plate-like member and is arranged at one of both ends, in the width direction, of a metal strip in a snout for introducing the metal strip into a plating bath for the metal strip in a melt plating installation and a suction unit for sucking dross arranged at the other of both ends, in the width direction, of the metal strip which end faces the dross transfer unit, with the metal strip between the dross transfer unit and the dross suction unit. The dross transfer unit moves horizontally in the direction toward the suction unit to generate waves on the plating bath surface. |
