PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover stripping method of a resin covered steel pipe and a cover stripping tool which completely strips a cover of the resin covered steel pipe and, thereby, enabling mounting of a branching piping device on a stripped portion.SOLUTION: A cover stripping method of a resin covered steel pipe includes a process of specifying a cover stripping portion with respect to an existing object pipeline P as the resin covered steel pipe (S1), and inputting notches to a resin cover on both edges in a cover stripping range T (S2), a process of mounting a tool for forming a surrounded space in the cover stripping range of the object pipeline (S3), a process of connecting a blow port of a hot wind producing device to an opening communicated with the surrounded space disposed on the tool and sending hot wind into the surrounded space continuously for a preset time (S4), and a process of removing the tool from the object pipeline (S5), inputting a notch along a pipe axis on the resin cover in the cover stripping range (S6) and stripping the resin cover in the cover stripping range from the object pipeline with the stripping tool (S6). |
