PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission which can unite quick and smooth switching of shift stages and reduction of loss work.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission has a specific shift stage 5th including, as a plurality of engagement mechanisms C1 to C3, B1 to B3 which are engaged when establishing the shift stage, engagement mechanisms C1, C2 which require engagement for obtaining shift ratio of the shift stage 5th and engagement mechanisms C2, C3 which do not produce a change in the shift ratio even when further being engaged in such a state that the shift stage 5th is established. Therein, until a shift movement to the specific shift stage 5th is ended, both of the engagement mechanisms C1, C2 which require engagement for establishing the specific shift stage 5th and the engagement mechanisms C2, C3 which do not produce a change in the shift ratio with engagement are engaged and, on the other hand, the engagement of the engagement mechanisms C2, C3 which do not produce a change in the shift ratio after the shift movement is ended is released. |
