SPECTRAL BIOMETRICS SENSOR

Provided are a spectral biometric sensor and a method for identification of an individual. The method comprises steps that a purported skin site of the individual is illuminated with illumination light; the purported skin site is in contact with a surface; light scattered from the purported skin site is received; a spatial spectrum image is formed from the received light; and the spatial spectrum image is compared with a spatial spectrum database having images related with the individual so as to identify the individual.
