PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer ring split type rolling bearing and a method of manufacturing the same in which a damage at the outer ring can be restricted and an influence caused by a deformation in shape of the split type outer ring when blister steel is applied to the split type outer ring is suppressed.SOLUTION: A split type outer ring DR is constituted of blister steel where either carburization treatment or carbonitriding treatment is applied and it is formed by dividing an integral ring IR at a parting plane S passing through a center thereof. At the split type outer ring DR, a deformation correction treatment is applied to an inner circumferential surface acting as a raceway surface at a prescribed area L from the parting plane S and at least an inter-raceway surface distance more than an outer diameter of a rolling body is assured at its entire circumference. |
