PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement measuring apparatus having improved displacement measuring accuracy, and a material testing machine.SOLUTION: A conversion rate of pulse includes: determining a value of an electronic gear denominator by a maximal pulse rate settable in a pulse rate conversion circuit, and a processing capacity of a circuit realizing the pulse rate conversion circuit (a step S10); and then, performing calibration work of a displacement measuring apparatus, and determining a value of an electronic gear numerator by taking account of how much a measured value of the displacement is deviated from a nominal value of the variation obtained from the number of pitches per rotation of a pulley, a nominal value of movement per pitch of a wire, and the number of counts per rotation of a rotary encoder (a step S20). |
