PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger manufacturing method and a heat exchanger capable of ensuring suppressing generation of through holes due to corrosion.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger manufacturing method comprises: an assembling step of assembling tubes 21 and fins 22; and a coating film forming step, executed after the assembling step, of forming a coating film 30 on surfaces of the tubes 21 and the fins 22 by a chemical vapor phase growth method. According to this method, it is possible to suppress generation of through holes in the tubes 21 and the fins 22 due to corrosion. At this time, since the coating film forming step is executed after the assembling step, it is possible to prevent the coating film 30 from being damaged at a time of transporting constituent components or assembling the constituent components together. Furthermore, since the coating film 30 is formed by the chemical vapor phase growth method that is a type of a dry coating method, it is possible to prevent very fine portions in a heat exchanger from being clogged during the coating film forming step. Therefore, it is possible to ensure suppressing generation of the through holes in the tubes 21 and the fins 22 due to the corrosion. |
