<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device advantageous to improving utilization efficiency of an illumination luminous flux.SOLUTION: The projection type display device projects video by using a luminous flux emitted from a light source, and includes; an optical element 8 having a reflection surface 8a reflecting at least a part of an incident luminous flux; and an adjustment mechanism 20 that is capable of adjusting an angle of the reflection surface 8a of the optical element 8 using at least one of a first axis 11a and a second axis 11b as a rotation axis, where a line of intersection of the reflection surface 8a and a plain surface including a center axis of the incident luminous flux and a center axis of a reflection luminous flux reflected from the optical element 8 is regarded as the first axis 11a, and an axis passing through the reflection surface 8a and orthogonal to the first axis 11a is regarded as the second axis 11b.</p> |
