摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure capable of suppressing an intrusion of a foreign matter into a projection type display device and simultaneously increasing a cooling efficiency of each heating element such as an optical modulator and an electrical element.SOLUTION: The projection type display device is constituted of: an optical block including an optical modulator which adds image information to light emitted from a light source; a light source block including the light source and a ballast substrate for driving the light source; a plurality of fans for cooling respective blocks; and an exterior case at least containing these fans. The fan that cools the power source block is an axial flow fan serving also for exhaust. An air in-take port is provided at one side surface of the projection type display device. An exhaust port is provided on the side surface facing one side surface provided with the air in-take port. The air in-take port is communicated with a plurality of flow paths guiding the air to respective blocks inside the projection type display device. The plurality of flow paths is configured to be provided with foreign matter intrusion suppression means having a different opening respectively adjacent to the air in-take port.</p>
