PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure joining of laser welding by restraining a clearance of a fitting part, to increase efficiency in a manufacturing process, and to diversify a technology.SOLUTION: A muffler forms a shell by fitting and welding a metallic upper side half body and a lower side half body by an opening end part for erecting peripheral walls 32 and 42 from the peripheral end of a substrate, and a first port expansion part 33 is formed in an opening end part of the upper side half body of the shell, and an outward projecting flange 34 is bent and formed on the tip of a peripheral wall 332 substantially vertically extending the first port expansion part 33, and a second port expansion part 43 is formed in an opening end part of the lower side half body of the shell, and a peripheral wall 432 of the second port expansion part 43 is fitted to substantially run along by being pressed in the peripheral wall 332 of the first port expansion part 33, and a welding part 5 is formed by the laser welding over the whole periphery in a fitting part of the peripheral wall 332 of the first port expansion part 33 and the peripheral wall 432 of the second port expansion part 43. |
