PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing aglycon, particularly, apigenin as an estrogenic bioactive substance in verbena officinalis by separating sugar from a glucoside by roasting a plant body.SOLUTION: A plant body, e.g., including the glucoside of apigenin and/or the analogous substance of apigenin such as verbena officinalis is roasted to increase the amount of an estrogenic bioactive substance included in the plant body. The obtained roasted plant body is utilized as a so-called tea leaf. Also, it is utilized as an extraction raw material for apigenin as an estrogenic bioactive substance. |
