PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having excellent heat resistance and small phase difference.SOLUTION: An optical film of the invention comprises aromatic resin having a specific repeating unit. In a preferable embodiment, an optical film of the invention has in-plane phase difference Re of 20 nm or less. In a preferable embodiment, an optical film of the invention has phase difference Rth of 100 nm or less in thickness direction. In a preferable embodiment, an optical film of the invention has total light transmittance of 85% or more. |
