PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closely holding member firmly and closely holding a biological tissue in a storage part with deformation thereof suppressed as much as possible or without damaging it, and to provide a container capable of firmly fixing, embedding and slicing the biological tissue without damaging it by being equipped with the closely holding member.SOLUTION: A closely holding member closely holds a biological tissue in a storage part of a container that comprises a base plate in which the storage part for storing the biological tissue is provided, and a lid plate, and that fixes, embeds or slices the biological tissue; and prevents the movement of the biological tissue. The closely holding member is formed of a liquid-medium-swellable polymer swelled by liquid medium such as water, formalin, and ethanol. A biological tissue fixing cassette, a biological tissue fixing/embedding cassette, or a biological tissue fixing/embedding/slicing cassette is provided. |
