PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication device which enables voice communication between a patient and a medical doctor in a noisy environment during examination using an MRI apparatus.SOLUTION: An MRI voice communication device has features and configuration described below: In a high magnetic field environment around and within an MRI cabin, an optical microphone sensor unit is incorporated into a nonmagnetic material-made mat member used by a patient for fixing and adjusting the head position in the MRI head coil. The patient wears and uses the optical microphone head mat 1, mat member with the optical microphone sensor unit incorporated therein, as a mat to fix the neck and cervical vertebra part. This allows the optical microphone sensor unit to reduce the noise generated by the MRI apparatus through one or more layers of soundproof material, and this also allows the patient's voice to be transmitted to the optical microphone sensor through bone conduction by bringing a contact vibration plate into contact with the cervical vertebra of the neck. It is thus made possible to output noise-reduced voice to a monitor speaker 27. |
