PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a diesel engine which is configured to scavenge EGR gas remaining in a cylinder and suppress vibration caused upon an engine stop, and which is capable of relaxing a run-on feeling felt by a driver.SOLUTION: A control device of a diesel engine is configured to sequentially close an EGR control valve and a throttle valve before the diesel engine is stopped by switching a key switch to an "OFF" position. When the key switch is switched to the "OFF" position, an injection quantity is less than an injection quantity immediately before being switched.
