The present invention relates to a device and a method for steel plate temperature measurement. The present invention includes a width direction temperature gauge that measures a width direction temperature of a steel plate; a forward/reverse detection unit that detects a direction of movement of the steel plate; a speed detection unit that detects a moving speed of the steel plate when the steel plate moves in a forward/reverse direction; and a control unit that calculates an integrated width direction temperature profile from a starting point to an end point of the steel plate by calculating direction-of-movement conversion points and a moving distance when the direction of movement of the steel plate is converted from forward to reverse or from reverse to forward and compensating the width direction temperature which is measured in an overlap section of the direction-of-movement conversion points. |
