The present invention provides a rechargeable battery capable of reducing arc energy by distributing a current in the operation of a fuse. The rechargeable battery according to one embodiment of the present invention includes an electrode assembly which performs charging and discharging operations, a case in which the electrode assembly is embedded, a cap plate which is combined with an open part of the case, an electrode terminal which is installed on the cap plate, and a lead tab which connects the electrode assembly to the electrode terminal and includes a fuse. The fuse includes a plurality of divided fuse parts which are set in a width direction of the lead tab by a plurality of penetration holes which are formed on the lead tab. |
