摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that enables an enhancement in a response velocity of a liquid crystal layer by executing an overdrive, while suppressing an increase in a load to a drive circuit part, and to provide an electronic device provided with the liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a liquid crystal layer that is provided between a pixel electrode and a common electrode; a drive circuit part that applies a drive voltage to the liquid crystal layer for each frame period; a temperature sensor that detects a temperature; and a control part that controls a display operation of a pixel Vpix. The control part switches over between a normal temperature display control mode and a low temperature display control mode on the basis of a detection temperature. In the normal temperature display control mode, the display control is performed at a first frame rate, and the drive voltage is applied for each frame period of the first frame rate. In a second display control mode, the display control is performed at a second frame rate having the number of frames of the first frame rate divided by an integer of 2 or more, and the drive voltage is applied for each frame period of the second frame rate, and an overdrive is executed to make the drive voltage to be applied higher than a target drive voltage in accordance with a target gradation of the pixel.
