<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulated transformer capable of sufficiently cooling an on-load tap changer accommodated in a tank.SOLUTION: The gas insulated transformer comprises: a plurality of tanks 1a, 1b, 1c filled with an insulation gas 4; an iron core 2 accommodated in each of the tanks; a coil 3 wound around the main gear of the iron core; an on-load tap changer 10 accommodated, together with the iron core and the coil, in one of the plurality of tanks; a gas stop plate for partitioning the tank interior into an upper space and a lower space; a cooler 6 for cooling the insulation gas; a fan 7 for sending the insulation gas cooled by the cooler to the inside of the tanks; a lower communication pipe 12 for the lower spaces of the mutually adjacent tanks to communicate with each other; and an upper communication pipe 11 for the upper spaces of the mutually adjacent tanks to communicate with each other. When viewed in the tank in which the on-load tap changer is accommodated, the upper communication pipe has an opening provided closer to the on-load tap changer side than is an opening of the lower communication pipe and in the vicinity of the on-load tap changer.</p> |
