A video reception device (1) is provided with: a receiver (101) for receiving video content; an extraction unit (102) which analyses the video content to extract partial content, i.e. a portion of the video content, and acquire characteristics within video content of the extracted partial content; an information generation unit (103) which generates, from the partial content, configuration information, i.e. information including characters and images indicating the partial content; a priority-level determination unit (105) which determines, for the configuration information, on the basis of the characteristics acquired from the partial content, a priority level indicating the size associated with the video content and the configuration information generated from the partial content; and a display controller (107) which controls the display of the configuration information on a display screen in accordance with the configuration-information priority level determined for the configuration information by the priority-level determination unit (105). |
