[Problem] To provide a cured film-forming composition for forming a cured film provided with a high level of adhesiveness and excellent light reaction efficiency and solvent resistance, and to provide an alignment material for optical alignment and a phase difference material formed using the alignment material. [Solution] A cured film-forming composition, containing: (A) a compound having an optical alignment group and one or more substitution groups selected from a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, a trialkoxysilyl group, and an amino group; (B) a hydrophilic polymer having one or more substitution groups selected from a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, and an amino group; (C) a compound having two or more trialkoxysilyl groups; and (D) a crosslinking catalyst. Using this cured film-forming composition, a cured film is formed, and an alignment material is formed using optical alignment technology. A polymerizable liquid crystal is coated on the alignment material, curing is performed, and a phase difference material is obtained.
